Leadtime exposes workspace tools to agents in two ways. Pick the one that
matches how the agent is talking to you.

## MCP connector

External MCP clients such as Cursor, Claude, and Codex connect to Leadtime at
`/api/mcp`. That connector uses Leadtime OAuth. Once connected, the agent can
discover API actions, run them, look up workspace URLs, and search the help
center.

Set this up from your MCP client. You do not need the Leadtime app open in a
browser tab.

### Skills

Leadtime also publishes its setup and workspace guides through the MCP
connector. Clients that support Skills over MCP can import these guides from
the same connection. Other clients continue to receive the same guides from
the Leadtime plugin package, so there is no second setup step.

## Site tools

If the agent already has the logged-in Leadtime app open, for example ChatGPT
desktop or Codex in the browser, it can use site tools in that tab. There is
no extra MCP connector. The tools run with your current session cookies and
the workspace in the URL.

Site tools can list and run the same workspace actions as the MCP connector,
open help articles, and follow Leadtime URLs. They can also change theme and
language in this browser, or navigate the page you already have open.

Site tools do not mint a direct API credential. If an agent needs a bearer
token for scripts or curl, use the MCP connector instead.
