Monitoring Team Time Tracking

Keep track of all employees’ time with the team calendar.

The consistent recording of working hours is a central prerequisite for transparency, efficiency and fair performance evaluation. Through the Team calendar, Leadtime creates a system that works on both a structural and a psychological level: it makes performance visible, encourages personal responsibility and enables managers to anchor time recording in the team in a binding, positive way.

How it works

Competitive spirit is deeply rooted in people - and it is precisely this natural mechanism that Leadtime uses.

As soon as performance is visible and comparable, motivation arises. In teams, this transparency not only promotes motivation, but also cohesion: those who see the progress of others recognize their own contribution to the overall success.

Leadtime transfers this principle to time recording.

In the Team calendar, the time bookings of all employees are visualized in color, making them transparent to the entire team. Absences or gaps become visible – not for monitoring, but for self-regulation through social dynamics.

This gentle but effective pressure strengthens discipline and personal responsibility without requiring formal supervision. At the same time, managers can intervene in a targeted manner if entries are missing or there are irregularities.

Social dynamics as a tool

The public display of time recording within the team creates a positive social dynamic.

Each person sees their contribution in the overall context and recognizes when they are lagging behind - or setting a positive example.

This mechanism is not a control instrument, but a means of promoting common standards and mutual motivation.

Over time, this creates a culture of accountability:

Employees record their times more precisely, stick to routines and actively contribute to a smooth process.

Managers, in turn, have to do less tracking and can concentrate on the substantive work.

The team calendar

The Team calendar is located in the menu item Schedule and is the central tool for an overview of all time bookings in the team. It offers three main views that allow you to assess performance, attendance and documentation quality at a glance.

Attendance view

This view shows the actual time spent at work per employee.

Simple color coding makes it easier to assess:

  • red_square Red: critical or severely incomplete attendance
  • orange_square Orange: partly patchy but acceptable attendance
  • green_square Green: complete and scheduled attendance

This visual overview allows managers to quickly identify who regularly works short hours or clocks in and out incompletely. At the same time, employees see for themselves how their behavior affects the team context - which promotes motivation and a sense of responsibility.

Time tracking view

This view shows the booked times on tasks and tickets in detail.

It does not focus on pure attendance, but on the actual documented working time - i.e. the productive portion of the working day.

Managers can understand here:

  • whether all working hours were recorded correctly,
  • which tasks were booked,
  • and whether time gaps indicate a lack of documentation or unproductive phases.
